Links to Health/Wellness in Midcoast Maine
I am fortunate to be part of an accomplished, high-quality health and wellness community. There are so many extraordinary practitioners and healers in Midcoast Maine. Here are links to some of my colleagues' websites.
Chiropractic
Grace Chiropractic -- Dr. Susan Grace. Not a "snapper and crack-er". Susan's got a ton of tools in her belt, and I honestly don't know how she does what she does, but it works. It's super subtle but it works. Uses an activator, but very lightly, and corrects things using the Axial Stability Method. I'm a believer. 243 High St. Belfast, Maine 207-338-1130. [email protected] Grace Chiropractic
Acupuncture
Cathryn Aiken of Arroyo Grande Acupuncture -- at The Belfast Center. Belfast Maine received a tremendous gift when Cathryn came to town! Japanese and Chinese acupuncture, cupping, a bit of shiatsu, herbs... a one-stop shop for healing. My husband thinks she is the best and that's all I need to know. On the 3rd floor!
Rhonda Feiman -- Doctor of Asian Medicine. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. Treating acute and chronic conditions with Japanese and Chinese acupuncture and customized Chinese herbal formulas. 18 Harbor Street Belfast Maine.
Energy Work/Reiki
BarbaraMary Thomas -- Reiki Master/Retired RN. Usui & Karuna Reiki therapy. Teaches classes. I had my Reiki I training with Barbara back in '00! 207-691-5070 in Rockport. Call or text.
Massage Therapy in Belfast
For relaxation massage or body treatments:
Claire Fogg at Renew Me Belfast -- Day Spa in downtown. She's there on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Unparalleled! Really! This is the massage I give myself when I really need to be bathed in bliss.
Amanda Caldwell at Ananda Yoga in downtown. Her treatment room is perfectly appointed; it's like being in a warm cocoon. HIGHLY recommend the polarity champissage.
For therapeutic massage:
Anita Smith in The Belfast Center is terrific. Same building as me! Thorough, intelligent work from a wonderful person.
Melissa Samuels at Midcoast Mobile Massage. The only thing that's better than my own amazing massage work :), is Melissa's. And she has an office! Across the street from Waterfall Arts. Right in town.
Be prepared to be transformed. And highly oiled! (Even after showering I can still smell the rose oil she used through my hair.... ahhhhh.)
